Cachaça has always appeared to be linked and dependent on the production of sugar and remained so until the early decades of the twentieth century, when it acquired its own personality. After the 1980´s, it came to be considered economic segment.Such institutionalization has generated more revenues ever since and has become one of the most prominent and important cultural heritage of the country.

 

The State of Minas Gerais stands out in this scenario with its " Handmade Alembic Cachaça", one of the most traditional products of the State.
